Cuki Dō

-your friendly ANTOJITō-

Welcome to Cuki Dō, a sister company of Wild Mylk!
Utensils not included. Ovens are totally optional. We make cookie dough with a concentrated pinch of fun and no apologies. This is an all inclusive treat, so just be your awesome self and enjoy confidently. Unless you just started a juice cleanse. If you have, you do you. See you in 3 to 14 days?

The cookie dough is carefully handcrafted in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. It's hand packed into paper containers in our kitchen and kept refrigerated while it waits for its new home. Nothing dodgy or artificial is ever used to make our dough. We use ingredients that you would normally have in your home pantry, sourced from your local grocer or health food shop. To boot it's 100% vegan and has zero gluten.

Food with a long shelf life kind of freaks us out. We never intended to make something that keeps for ages. We recommend keeping it refrigerated for a maximum of 2 weeks. Keep it sealed with wax paper on top to maintain maximum freshness. You know how apples change color once you slice them? Yeah it's natural and though they don't look as pretty, they still taste the same. We use apples for moisture and to bind our mix so, same thing can happen if left out or uncovered in fridge, the top will darken a bit. PRO TIP: If this happens just mix it and seal, the cookie dough is still good. You can also transfer your cookie dough into an upcycled glass container that seals or a mason jar.

Freezing. We did a number of trials where we froze and thawed it and it worked great. However, we recommend just freezing once. Also, don't ignore your dough and just leave it out on the counter for hours. We don't want to make you paranoid or anything, but just be aware that it keeps best cold. So if you want to bake it, put it away once you are done. If you want to eat it straight up, serve it separately and put it away...unless you are in shameless savage mode and want to eat it straight from the tub. That's OK too.

So you want to wake and bake to have cookies for the day, the weekend or for that social gathering you RSVP'd to? We tested all the variables- time, temperature and scoop size- and found our PREFERRED results to be 20-25 minutes in our ELECTRIC OVEN oven at 375°F, scooped into tablespoon sized balls using a spring release scoop (Google it). This gave us crispy edges and a soft centered cookie, just like we love them.
Here's the thing: a wise woman once said that "ovens are like two are alike" (we just made that up). But it's true. We don't know what you have available. Is it gas, electric, a toaster oven, a convection oven/microwave? There all these other variables like altitude, humidity, etc. So what is left to do...TEST! If you have baked before you probably already know what temperature to start your oven on. So find your oven's sweet spot and test in increments of 5 minutes (it's probably safe to say that in any oven you can start at a minimum of 15 minutes and work your way up). That way you don't compromise your cookie dough stash and just test with small quantities in case you under or over do it.
